These small plants came up next to a baby magnolia tree I rescued in north Georgia. Compare to the size of the pink plastic spoon!

    While there is a resemblance to lunaria, I suspect one of the Scutellarias. Here’s a few of the GA scullcaps from my garden: http://stonethegardener.tumblr.com/tagged/scutellaria I need to take some pictures of ocmulgee scullcap rosettes… I can’t find them in google images…

    To me it looks like a money plant aka silver dollar plant aka “Lunaria” . Even in Ohio these seeds over-winter and sprout abundantly in the Spring. They could also be “Garlic Mustard”. Of the two lets hope it is the Lunaria!
