Notes:
Hello, I am trying to locate a true Lebanese cedar tree (Cedrus Libani) that was planted in Lebanon, Oregon about 60 years ago, brought in from Mount Lebanon in the Middle East. And I’m wondering if this might be one. This one is a coniferous tree, and I know that a Lebanon Cedar is a ‘weeping’ one, with the branches drooping downwards, but i figured different weather affects how a tree grows? (I’m not a tree expert at all, so be gentle if this was something completely different.)

I’m not a conifer expert but this tree looks similar to perhaps a cultivar named ‘ Kaizuka’ of Chinese juniper (Juniperus chinensis), common name Hollywood juniper. When you want to narrow down a conifer specimen, try to look for other clues e.g. cones, barks etc… If you know the names of the people that brought the tree, you could search with the Lebanon(Linn County) Genealogical Society.
