Notes:
My Grandfather was weed-eating around his property and came across this. I have looked extensively on google and cannot identify it. It has square stems and the little star shaped flower comes out at the base of the leaf. The leaf is smooth and almost waxy but not firm like Holly. Thanks in advance for any information. Frank

The leaves look too large but maybe hearts a bursting. Compare here http://www.wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=EUAM9 and here http://www.fs.fed.us/global/iitf/pdf/shrubs/Euonymus%20americanus.pdf
