Notes:
I found these under a tree on a golf course. It looks very much like a potato, but much firmer. This may be the tree, but I canÕt see any sign of bloom or growth in the tree.

I did find some still hanging on a dying vine. I picked one that was still green and it immediately exuded a sticky white sap from the stem spot. A local nursery owner confirmed the ID as Òair potatoÓ and warned me that they could be quite poisonous. Now IÕll have to try to get the golf course owner or manager to order a supply of beetles and Òeat Ôem up.Ó Thamksforthe help with the ID.

Looks like it came off the vine in the tree… Dioscorea sp. AKA air potato or yam.
