Notes:

This Jasmine plant is from India and looks healthy. It has lots of buds and it was flowering very nicely but suddenly about one week before most of the buds started turning purple brown.
What could be the reason? Is it because of too much rain?
Plant is outside and I have about 4 with same issue.
Please let me know what to do.
Thanks.
Janak

Your plant looks like Arabian jasmine (Jasminum sambac). Not having the plants in person I could only speculating, I’m wondering if these discoloring buds perhaps from the larvae of bud midge/hibiscus bud midge (Contarinia maculipennis)? According to sources, the toxic saliva from the larvae causes the discoloring of flower buds . Copy & paste these included link for further information & treatment. Best wishes to you Janak!
