Notes:
My mother bought me this plant, which i believe is actually a shrub of sorts. She had no idea what it was and I’ve googled to no end. It’s about 2 feet tall, multiple shoots, small, white, trumpet shaped flowers. They close at night and prefer full sun and moist soil. I live in New Orleans, zone 9. Thin leaves. Please help! Thanks so much.

Maybe a type of Ruellia, perhaps Britton’s wild petunia (Ruellia simplex)? Check it out and see if you have a match. Link below with more information. Best wishes! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruellia_simplex
