Notes:
This is doing very well in a sunny location and the leaves turn bright red in fall. It also has red berries in the fall. Husband says nandina, but I’m not sure.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3005831/ A search of “Nandina kills birds” will turn up dozens of articles… I’ve been digging Nandina out at my house, and in other yards as well…

http://www.eddmaps.org/ipane/ipanespecies/shrubs/Euonymus_alata.htm While they are both invasive exotics, and probably should be removed… Burning bush isn’t killing the birds the way that Nandina is.

Thank you for your help! So burning bush is not a type of nandina?

That doesn’t look like the nandina I am familiar with Ð the leaf orientation does not seem right to me. But I do not have any other suggestions for you.
