To my eyes these two are different species in the genus Dichanthelium. The specimen in the first photo with wider and shorter leaf blade maybe D. boscii (Bosc’s Witchgrass. I can’t be certain of the second species, I’m taking a wild guess maybe D. laxiflorum? Check out the included links and see if you have a match. Best wishes!
