Notes:

Two of these trees in my yard. Tallest is about 50 feet tall. Until recently they were crowded by sweet gums and pine trees. Blooms drop very tiny black seeds no visible fruits.

    Maybe a species in the Tupelo genus (Nyssa) and its male flowers buds? Copy & paste the included link below and check out one of the species, the N. sylvatica. Again I’m only speculating. When the flowers are fully open and you still don’t know, please resubmit with closeup of the blooms. Best wishes!
