Notes:
I came across this tree in an abandoned lot in Austell. Foliage is feather or fern like. Tree is only 7 or 8 feet tall at this point.

There are two trees that are looking similar, the bald cypress (Taxodium distichum) and the dawn redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides). To my eyes the leaflets appear alternate, maybe a species of bald cypress? The later has opposite. Too bad there are no cones to help narrow down more.
