Notes:
I saw this plant while hiking the Iron Hill Trail at Red Top Mtn. I saw it last year and its back again this year….it has some kind of (fruit ?) growing on it ?? Anyone have an idea of what it is. May 2019 The plant that it is one is about 4 or 5 feet tall and this is growing on the top. We saw it while crossing one of the bridges on the trail.

I did some search for this “buckeye”…and what I found…was Aesculus Californica Buckeye. It has the same flowers I saw on this plant and the “Nut” is pear shape just like the Californica Buckeye. But it is strange that it is growing in Georgia. Thanks for the info !!! Now I know !!!
