Notes:

Please help me identify this plant. It is currently growing in a sunny spot but that could change when the trees fill in. I thought it could be poison sumac but the leaf edges are not smooth. There is currently a lot of them about and i was wondering if i should pull it up to make it easier to clean the beds. The plants are relatively short, about 2 ft tall. Thank you!

Thank you! It looks like a contender. I did pull some of it up because i got impatient but will leave it on the other side of the terrace to see how it blooms!

I believe this is Doghobble (Leucothoe fontanesiana). I love this plant. Check out the flowers! https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/highland_dog-hobble
