Surprising my MIL with a new flower garden when she gets home, as hers is pretty barren at a new home she just purchased. But I don’t know if I should keep this plant shown here? Or toss it. Anyone know what it is? As you can see, it’s too early to tell by new growth, so I’m hoping someone recognizes it’s old frame and can tell me what it is. Thanks!

Excellent point, thanks! Originally I thought lavender but there’s another lavender plant nearby and you can tell they aren’t same thing.

I’m not sure what that is, but it looks like it puts up a LOT of flower stalks. I’d give it a chance.
