Notes:
It is a fast growing invasive plant taking over a small hillside; grows in the shade and the leaf is aproximately 6″-8″ long and shiny. I thought it was a volunteer hickory but they are springing up all over the place and are more like a bush. Please help as I am trying to create a native wildlife zone…

The leaf looks like it could be native, but with without more information, I could only speculate. Could you show the plant’s side view and close-up of its branches without those ground covers in a new post? Hopefully we could help to narrow down its ID for you. Best wishes!
