Notes:

I found them growing on the side of a road in Conway SC. in april 2013 & again same time in 2014. I was abel to dig a few up they are small bulbs very few leaves until after blooming is done. The leaves are flat needle like and get about the same height as the single flower stem. I have only seen these as white flower may a touch of pink in early stages of flowering. I think it might be related to a naked lady as most of the time when flowering ther are very few if any leaves

    zephyranthes atamasco… They’re Early Spring blooming native bulbs http://www.floridata.com/ref/z/zeph_ata.cfm Nerine (naked lady) is a September blooming bulb from South Africa… But they are both Amaryllidaceae … so… you’re right… they’re related.
