Notes:

Still trying to identify this little plant. As requested, I added a side view of the little plant. And I just noticed today that the leaves are changing and no longer have the rust/red color on them.

    These are fantastic, they provide the necessary botanical clues i.e. opposite branching with compound leaves. Thank you Corry! Look up species of Ash tree (Fraxinus) that grow in the West Coast and see if you have a match. I’m guessing this might the Oregon ash (F. latifolia)? Check out these included links more information.
