Notes:
This plant started growing in our front pine island in Lilburn in late July or early August and in late August it began flowering. It’s flowers open in the morning and close in the afternoon. The pictures were taken in the last 12 days.

Spiderwort. It’s a fairly prolific seeder and one may have been picked up by a bird and deposited in your yard.
