Notes:

I’m not sure this tree is native to this area. The home owner up the street planted this tree. It grew really fast. It was planted only 2 or 3 years ago and it is now taller than the two story home it is planted beside. In this picture you can see the leaf is bigger than my foot. I wear a size 9 shoe. The original person that planted this tree told me that ALL the leaves fall off the first time it gets 32 degrees or below outside. That really does happen.

    It’s a hard to tell with a single leaf. Could you show us more details of the tree in a new post i.e. closeup photos of leaves on the branch, tree trunk ,etc… For now check out the included link below for the differences between the catawba tree (Catalpa) and Princess tree (Paulownia tomentosa).
