Notes:
My coworker left me this plant to take care of. She doesn’t know what it is either, it was just a gift. It’s been yellowing for a while and I need to know what it is so I can try and heal it (bigger pot, water amount, etc). Oddly enough the plant finally started flowering (notice the purple petals). Please help if you can identify what this plant is. Thank you.

Thank you for your replies. I hope it survives to reach full bloom! Hahaha. I will post more photos when it does, in the mean time I will research bromeliads.

It looks to me it’s a kind of bromeliad. It will be easier to identify it once it blooms. 🙂
