Notes:
This plant was already in a flower garden of a home I bought 2 years ago. Each year it comes back bigger and better. The more you dead head the flowers, the more it blooms. It makes great cut flowers. I love it but I have no idea what it is. Who knows the name? Everybody that see’s it wants to know and I to do.

It always bothers me when people talk about cutting down the flowers… Those seedpods feed the birds, and help increase the number of flowers in the bed… Stokesia laevis is a Georgia native wildflower… It’s been my experience that seeds sown this summer will be blooming plants next year. Here’s a cool post by Ginny Stibolt for the Florida Native Plant Society from 2011: http://fnpsblog.blogspot.com/2011/05/stoked-on-stokes-asters.html
