Notes:
In a poorly maintained section of my yard that receives full sun, I have a extremely dense grass/weed that I have not been able to identify. I live in Central Florida, the area was originally St. Augustine, and the St. Augustine has been crowded out. The root structure seems to be shallow with no apparent rhizomes, but it seems to be a creeping grass/weed. The blades are smooth and feel tender and feels like a very plush carpet when walking on it barefoot. I have not noticed any seed heads.

I know it looks like centipede, but centipede grass has leaf blades that turn at right angles to the initial leaf within the first inch of leaf length. It is starting to show up in my backyard as well. It may be an invasive weed, but I am trying to identify it so I have an idea of how to manage it.
