What is this tree?

Notes:

It grows wild and seems to be fast growing. It has these purple trumpet type flowers on it, but they only last for a short time.

    Looks like a Paloma tree: fast growing (15′ in a year!), seed probably dropped by bird.

    I saw earlier that this was named “empress.”

    I have this in my yard, it’s a huge tree. Very masculine. I laughed when I saw it for the first time in Spring with the purple sticky flowers. From a distance, these large trees appear to be covered in wisteria.

    I will watch for your feedback to find out for sure what this is.
