Thank you AUNT BUBBA for the followed up photo! This helps a lot. To my eyes these look like leaves with crenate leaf margin. Maybe Box-leaf Euonymus without the green chlorophyll? But without flowers to confirm, I’m only speculating and could be wrong. You could take a sample to the local Agriculture Extension for a further help. For now check out a variety of Japanese euonymus with out chlorophyll from the included link below. Best wishes!
