Blooms early spring on strong wood limbs. Is a shrub in the shade. Leaves come later. Smells very sweet.

Thanks. That’s it. I thought it was a viburnum. It is entangled with a tree. I’ve tried to move it but can’t. Now I can buy another. Do you thing I could root a cutting?

Maybe a type of viburnum. Close up of leaves and flowers will help narrowing down its ID. I’m guessing this might be the Korean spice viburnum (Viburnum carlesii). Check it out and if you have a match. Best wishes!
