Notes:

This plant is in my neighborhood (Atlanta) but I never noticed it until today. I’m mystified. Each flower is about 1″ across. In the center of each flower is a single berry, and it’s very blue. The plant’s stalk is woody, like a tree. Smooth bark, approx 1″ diameter and approx 3-4 feet tall. Unusual roots: It looks like the stem/trunk is perched on stilts or arches with airspace under the trunk.
