We saw this beautiful purple wildflower in Alberta, Canada at Elbow Falls hiking area.

Not able to see the opened flower, I’m guessing this could be a species in the Pusatilla genus, common names include prairie crocus, pasqueflower, meadow anemone, etc… I’m speculating this might be (Pulsatilla patens)?
