Notes:
This plant is growing at a massive rate and is taking over my garden. I am scared it is a pumpkin plant but I never planted this. I am hoping it is cucumbers or something else.

Surely some cucurbit. Maybe cantaloupe.

Thank you very much. I have confirmed that it is a cucumber and now I am trimming the plant back. It was overtaking my tomato plants and pepper plants and wrapping its vines around them. It is a fast growing cucumber plant that is actually a nuisance because it constantly wraps its vines around the surrounding plants and chokes them out. I appreciate all of your help!

I would agree that it’s probably a cucumber, if that’s all that you planted. But what’s scary about pumpkins? They are delicious, though you do have to wait a while for maturity. And, of course, if you have the most sincere pumpkin patch, the Great Pumpkin may rise out of it on Halloween night.

It certainly looks more like a cucumber than a pumpkin or any other squash family member. Cucumbers tend to be more trailing with tendrils every so often. The squash family seems to have more leaves coming directly from the base.
