I found this grass in a pollinator garden I’m helping with. Is it a grass that needs to stay or does it need to be weeded out? The soil is very good and pliable there, so could it be immature nutsedge. Someone told me that the “nuts” don’t necessarily exist on the young plants. It’s much thicker and taller than nutsedge in my yard, but my soil is older and denser. If it’s a grass, I don’t want to pull it, but if i’s nutsedge, it needs to go — pronto.
