    Looks like dog bane and bletilla. Personally, I wouldn’t call either of them weeds. Dogbane attracts butterflies to its blooms, is a host for a tiger moth… And is a native plant… Yay! http://naturesnippets.com/2012/06/17/dogbane-tiger-moth/ Bletilla is a Japanese terrestrial orchid… For the shade garden.

    The top photo looks like beggar lice and I would call it a weed. http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek040908.html A weed is a weed in the eye of the beholder so, I hereby declare the bottom picture is not a weed. Looks like some kind of lily. Perhaps the rare Horizontalis!
