I ran across lots of these while on the Fern Canyon Trail in Russian Gulch State Park on the Northern California Coast, near Mendocino. I think it’s an iris, but I’m not sure what variety and would love to know. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You are right about it is an Iris, but I can’t tell which species this is exactly. I speculate this could be the Iris douglasiana Herbert (Douglas iris)?
