Growing in my yard in central IL (Atlanta, IL) It is very determined and I do not want to touch it if it is indeed poison.

    As it appears to be growing up a tree, cut the vine with an ax where it exits the ground, and just let it die and wither. Don’t pull the vine out of the tree, unless you can handle it without touching. Don’t burn the vine, as that can release toxic fumes.
