Notes:
We just moved into a new house and need your help identifying some of the plants in the yard. There 15 or 16 plants we need help with, so get your detective hats on. I think this is juniper but not sure which one.

I’m not an expert on juniper also. But according to sources, you could narrowing down which species by the number of seeds from their seed cones. Maybe you want to check out the low growing/ ground cover cultivars from these group. J. chinensis- 2-4 seeds. J. communis – single seed. J. procumbens- 2-3 seeds, rarely one. J. squamata- single seed. Link below is for J. conferta it is very similar to J. procumbens in appearance, but according to sources, it is slower & denser in growth than J. conferta. Perhaps you can take a clipping of yours and take it to the local nurseries and try to find a match with their stocks .Best wishes! http://www.hort.uconn.edu/plants/detail.php?pid=228
