Notes:
Help. Cannot find anybody to identify this weed/grass. It is coming up through very dense zoysia it runs on runners approximately 9 to 10" underneath the ground and grows in groups. It's warm season and goes dormant when cold just like Bermuda and Zoysia. Trying to get rid of it.

To my eyes in the first photo the root has a knotty look (?) and with those wide, whitish , gray green coloring blades, I’m wondering if it’s maybe a species in the Panicum genus? Torpedo grass (Panicum repens) has both long & ginger looking like rhizomes (. But without its flower & seed head again I’m only speculating. For now copy & paste the included link below to check out information on Torpedo grass, make sure click on the video link to view the roots system. Best wishes!
