Notes:
These berries grow from a large bush along a dirt road. They are the size of large blueberries.

From the shape and coloration, I would suspect eleagnus. There are several species of eleagnus invading the area… They don’t all have those shiny leaves and thorns… When you get additional berry pics, please get some of the top of the bush, so that we can see the leaves.

The wild plum is the closest match I’ve come up with, as well. I’ll try to get better pics over the weekend and post again! Thanks for the help!

Pretty sure it’s not chickasaw plum, Bobby. They once grew on every roadside here. Herbicides have pretty much done away with them now.
