Notes:
Cahaba Lily has shoot like leaves and this doesn’t it has little leaves and a tree/shrub like base. I wish to transplant to yard but need to know how and also what it is.

You’re welcome Angie, and thank you for the feedback of its ID. From what I have learned, transplanting is best done in the fall. Try to get at much of the roots ball as possible. Then give it the same condition where it has been growing. Maybe you want to use a method of propagating by using cuttings at first instead. It will be slower but the original plant will not be at risk from transplanting shock and might not able to survive.

Looks like some type of native azaleas. Check out Piedmont azalea (Rhododendron canescens) and Alabama azalea (Rhododendron alabamense).
