Notes:
I saw this at a home today and found it very interesting. This is obviously deciduous, south facing, full shade to partial, filtered sunlight. Reddish venation with slightly serrated leaf margin. Leaves are approximately 6-8″ length x width. Single leaf per 12″-18″ stalk.

P.S. I bought some hostas from a master gardener plant sale in Cherokee Co. A year or two ago and these plants showed up with the hostas. They look great with the hostas and ferns in a shady area near my pond.

This is hardy begonia (Begonia grandis) a flowering shade perennial. It will have clusters of pale pink flowers a little later in the summer into fall.
