Found this plant in the woods west of Savannah Ga. Main stalk has a lot of long thorns 2″ the berry is slightly oval not round. Thought it could be some type of holly. I don’t know if it is native. I was cutting small shoots to use making native american arrow foreshafts. A hardwood insert that goes in the forward end of a rivercane arrow. I thought this was interesting. Could you help identify this plant. I use sparkleberry and youpon most of the time.
