Notes:

Found this while clearing out some overgrowth on our property. Bark/trunk has very sharp, short thorns. Also appears to have berries. 7-8 ft tall right now

    Maybe a species in the Aralia genus? I’m guessing the native A. spinosa ( devil’s walking stick)? Check out the included link below and see if you have a match. According to sources the under leaf of the non-native species A. elata has short, soft hairs . Best wishes!
