Notes:

In one of the photos, I show the short-handled shovel to give clues of height – est. 5’10”. I know I should wait for flowers to bud, but so far – none! It does not appear to be woody. I was hoping for elderberry, being from MN and then thought “sumac” but I am still stumped. Simple pinnately compound leaf. I noticed the additional leaflets where the leaf joins. The blue flowers you see seem to be delphiniums but I had planted “dwarf” in the plot where I plant a packet of “wildflower mix”/yr

With out flowers, I’m guessing you might get your wish! Leaves shapes and the opposite branching looks like elderberry. Maybe Sambucus canadensis? Check it out and see if you have a match. When it blooms you will know for certain. Best wishes! https://www.google.com/search?q=Sambucus+canadensis+grow+in+GA&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi9xuvzruLMAhWIPCYKHVFcAXIQ7AkIPQ&biw=1920&bih=909#imgdii=QwQALg0L0dye_M%3A%3BQwQALg0L0dye_M%3A%3BmOJ5UQU75pMDGM%3A&imgrc=QwQALg0L0dye_M%3A
