I was given this plant as a gift several years ago. It would newly grown, had a couple leaves and a single stem, in the many years that I have had the plant it has continued to grow bigger and bigger. In the last couple of years I have noticed that a couple of maroon/purplish colored leaves grown in the center of the standard green leaves. Someone suggested it was some kind of fruit tree but I haven’t been able to identify the plant to date. I have more photos if it might help in indentifting.

More photos will be great especially of the “maroon/purplish leaves’. These might be flowers bud scale? If your plant blooms it will have a better the chance to narrow down its ID. Thank you and best wishes mzap3! Laura
