My sister-in-law moved into a house a couple of months ago with these plants already growing there. They recently began blooming and she is trying to figure out what they are, to better care for them. Sorry if the pics are not so good, she snapped them on her phone. Thank you for any help!

Looks like soapwort. Nobody needs to care for soapwort… I maintain mine by trying to pull them out… Doesn’t do any good… If you want to keep the patch looking nice, you can hit them with a string trimmer (weed eater), or lawn mower… after the blooms play out…Cut them to the ground… then you will get lots of nice fresh growth…
