‘@laura735: You are amazing! Thank you so much for the pics you posted. I believe you’re right that this is a Smooth Ground Cherry. The pics match exactly. One site calls it an Illinois wildflower. Another site calls it a weed. Now I have to decide if I want to keep it or not. I think I’ll let it grow and see what happens.
