Notes:
The closest I’ve come is crassula dubia, but somehow it doesn’t quite fit. Any ideas as to what this is. It is quite large, 1 foot tall with leaves 4 – 5 inches in diameter, tipped in red.

Hi Richard, Metrosideros ID is probably correct. According to sources, K. luciae is often mislabeled as K. thyrsiflora which on some websites list it is also as a syn. of K. tetraphylla. But I’m not sure of this synonym since I’m not an expert of Kalanchoe species. Link below can help further. You will know for certain when it blooms. Best wishes! http://www.smgrowers.com/info/kalanchoeluciae.asp

The photos of k. tetraphylla and of c. dubia are so similar as to give one pause, and as with the photos of c. dubia, I am left with a feeling of “Not quite” with k. tetraphylla. I guess waiting for it to bloom can clear up all of the doubts, or instill completely new ones |-) Thanks Richard
