I live in East Texas, and after several years of drought and two years of flooding, we are seeing some plants I don’t recall having ever seen. I picked this plant and potted it with my cactus. I took a picture of it so you could see that it grows mainly in grassy areas in dry, rocky soil. After I planted it next to my cactus yesterday, the flowers opened up this morning, but I’ve never seen them do that in nature. Even my dad is stumped on this one. No help from plant books either.
