Notes:

When we were building our home (30 years ago) I noticed this flower in the yard. I loved this little flower so much I landscaped around it. It’s lavender in color, about a foot tall. Each plant is only one stalk and blooms are geranium-shaped and are on the tip of the stalk. The leaves are elongated and pointed. It has multipled tremendously since if first saw it, but doesn’t appear to be invasive as I haven’t seen it in other areas of the yard.

Oh, yes . .that’s exactly what this gorgeous little flower is! I’ve talked to more experienced gardeners and they all have given me different names!!!! But, after your post and just a little research, I have both the common and botanical name!!! Thank you very, very much!!!
