Notes:
I bought some marigold seeds to plant in my garden. I'm trying to combat horn worms.
I planted the seeds. This is what came up.
I don't know what it is, but it is not marigolds.
Is it some type of weed that I need to remove from my garden.
My sister suggested it resembles a Mimosa, not likely.
Please help me.

Without its flowers to tell more I could only speculate for now. Maybe something in the Sesbania? Possible S. herbacea (Danglepod/bigpod)? Check out Walter’s page for more information. You could let it matures enough to bloom for a confirmed ID of which species & genus this is. If you don’t have a match, please resubmit with photo flowers. Best wishes!
