Bermuda Lawn – Good Lawn Mower
Q: I need to replace my reel mower but there are few available. Can a rotary mower be used on a Bermuda lawn?
A: It all depends on how low you want to cut the grass. The recommended height for sodded bermudagrass is 1.5″. A rotary mower with a sharp blade can achieve that. If you want it lower than that, you need a reel mower. In either case, mow when you’ll remove less that one-third of the green leaf, typically every four days.
