Notes:
This plant has been growing in our “native plant” section of our garden for 2 years now. It is evergreen and spreads like crazy. We can’t remember if we planted it or if it is a weed that has just blended in with the other plants. Lol! Please help identify!! Thanks!

I need to correct an error regarding the Cypress Spurge I wrote about yesterday. IT IS A WEED. In fact, common name is graveyard weed or spurge weed.

This is Cypress Spurge. I also have submitted a picture of this same plant. It hasn’t appeared on the site yet, but I found it myself just looking around on the internet. It’s invasive and hard to get rid of. It’s not a weed. I actually like it a lot and got some from my friend to fill a bare ugly spot in a hot area of my garden. I’ll keep my eye on it. I’m pretty sure it is cypress spurge. Check it out and see what you think. Janet Copeland

Can you give us an update when these are in bloom? Your plants appear to have opposite branching, I’m wondering if these might be dogfennel (Eupatorium capillifolium) (?). Check out images from the included link below, click to enlarge. Again with out flowers, I’m only speculating. Best wishes! http://cses.auburn.edu/turfgrass-management/weed-identification/dogfennel/
