Notes:
This plant may be a butterfly friendly plant as we planted some seeds last year and a few of the other plants have sprouted. My friend thinks it’s milkweed but with the serrated leaves I’m not sure it is. Thanks!

Looks like zigzag goldenrod, broad-leaved goldenrod (Solidago flexicaulis). A great plant for the ecosystem.
