Notes:
Any idea what this evergreen ground cover is? I see it all over Chattahoochee Nat’l forest & im wondering if I could use it. I have a shady front yard in need of an evergreen, deer tolerant ground cover. Thanks!

Running pine (Diphasiastrum digitatum) if you’re not in the mountains it isn’t a ground-cover for you.

I have seen it called ground pine mostly. “Club moss” includes this and other species.

Club moss, ground cedar, creeping cedar are three of the names I’ve heard. Check out this link: http://www.walterreeves.com/gardening-q-and-a/ground-cedar-lycopodium/
